The IBUC-3 from TERRASAT is a GaN Ku-band Block Up-converter (BUC) designed to convert an L-band input frequency from 950 to 1700 MHz to an output frequency from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 20 W with a gain of over 74 dB while operating from 20 to 76 VDC supply. The IBUC-3G is available in a smaller compact module that measures 7 x 5 x 4 inches with N-type (F)/ F-type or TNC input connectors and WR-75 waveguide output interface. This intelligent BUC communicates via FSK to compatible modems and provides alternate TCP/IP, RS232, and RS485 interfaces. It is an ideal solution for very small aperture and flat-panel antennas, where size and weight and key constraints.
