The RM50xQ from Quectel is a 5G Module that is specially designed for IoT, M2M, and eMBB (enhanced Mobile Broadband) applications. The module supports both 5G NSA and SA modes and is compatible with Quectel’s LTE-A Cat 6 module (EM06), Cat 12 module (EM12 and EM120R-GL), and Cat 16 module (EM160R-GL), which facilitates smooth migration from LTE-A to 5G technology. It has an integrated GNSS receiver that is based on Qualcomm IZat location Gen9C Lite technology (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou/Compass, and Galileo). The module provides quicker, accurate, and more dependable positioning capabilities.
The RM50xQ supports industry-standard interfaces such as USB, and PCIe and is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems. It is ideal for IoT and M2M applications such as an industrial router, home gateway, STB, industrial laptop, consumer laptop, industrial PDA, rugged tablet PC, video surveillance, and digital signage.
