The BC660K-GL from Quectel is a Multi-Band LTE Cat NB2 Module that is designed for NB-IoT and LPWA applications. The module is available in a compact surface-mount LCC package that measures 17.7 x 15.8 x 2.0 mm and is ideal for a wide range of IoT applications, such as smart metering, bike sharing, smart parking, smart city, security and asset tracking, home appliances, agricultural and environmental monitoring etc.
The BC660K-GL delivers a downlink data rate of 25.5 Kbps (single-tone) & 127 Kbps (multi-tone) and an uplink data rate of 16.7 Kbps (single-tone) & 158.5 Kbps (multi-tone). It has a built-in eSIM reserved and is embedded with Internet service protocols. The module provides a maximum output power of 23 dBm and has an RX sensitivity of -116 dBm. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V, consumes 330 mA of current (at 23 dBm Tx power) and 800 nA of current in power saving mode (PSM).
The BC660K-GL can be controlled via USIM, UART, RI, ADC, GPIO, PSM, SPI, I2C and PWM interfaces. It is designed to be compatible with Quectel’s GSM/GPRS & NB-IoT modules and provides a flexible and scalable platform for the migration from GSM/GPRS to NB-IoT networks.
