The BG95xA-GL from Quectel is an LPWA Module that is compliant with the 3GPP E-UTRA Release 13/14 specification. It supports LTE Cat M1/NB1/NB2/GPRS bands and has integrated iSIM technology. This module features the MIPS 5150 processor with integrated RAM & flash for reduced current consumption using various power optimization modes including PSM, eDRX, etc. This module has an integrated GNSS engine that supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BDS, and QZSS systems and a cellular-based positioning engine that supports Polte and QuecLocator. It delivers a downlink data rate of up to 588 kbps and an uplink data rate of up to 1119 kbps. The module requires a DC supply of 2.2-4.35 V and consumes less than 201 mA of current.
The BG95xA-GL can be controlled via USB 2.0, UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, (U)SIM, and GPIO interfaces. It includes a comprehensive hardware-based security feature - Integrated Security Elements (ISE). This module is available in an advanced LGA package that measures 23.6 x 19.9 x 2.2 mm and is ideal for a wide range of M2M applications, such as wireless POS, smart metering, tracking, wearable device, etc.
