The K.FL2 Series from Hirose Electric are Micro RF Connectors that operate from DC to 8 GHz. They are designed to offer a low-profile design and support a cable length of 100 mm. These connectors are available in two mating variations – RF cable type (receptacle with plug) and FPC-to-board type (receptacle with plug receptacle). They prevent plug deformation during removal and enhance mating retention force. These micro connectors also prevent solder wicking and flux penetration from degrading the connector’s performance. They have a straight/right angle connector polarity and also use a polarity key to easily identify the mounting direction. 

The K.FL2 Series have a dielectric withstanding voltage of 200 V (AC) and a VSWR of less than 1.60:1. They can withstand up to 20 mating cycles. These RoHS-compliant connectors are available in surface-mount packages that measure 2.0 x 2.0 x 1.2 mm. They have a gold-plated phosphor bronze female contact, gold-plated brass male contact, and LCP/PBT insulator.
