The DF-A0257 from Alaris Antennas is an Adcock Direction Finding Antenna that operates from 20 to 6000 MHz. This tri-band antenna provides patterns suitable for the Watson-Watt estimation method, as well as the 3-channel correlative DF (CDF). It has a vertical polarization and offers an omni-channel output that can also be used for monitoring. The antenna has a low noise amplifier on each channel with passive bypass capability and an integrated noise source or optional external signal that can be used for downstream RF chain calibration. It has an integrated GPS antenna and a compass with a heading accuracy of 2° RMS. This antenna requires a DC supply from 6 to 18 V and consumes less than 3 W of power.

The DF-A0257 can be controlled via an RS485 communication interface. It is available in an IP66-rated housing that measures 93.8 mm (Dia.) x 479.2 (L) mm with a MIL-DTL-38999 multi-pin connector.
