The SC5310A is a triple-stage downconverter with an output frequency range from 100 kHz to 2.5 GHz. The device has a tuning resolution of 1 Hz and bandwidth of up to 40 MHz. It has been designed for radio and TV broadcasting, cable networks, and spectral monitoring applications. The downconverter has high signal-to-noise dynamic range and high spurious-free dynamic range. The phase noise is very low, at -105 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset with a typical noise floor of -153 dBm/Hz. The noise floor can be reduced to -170 dBm/Hz by enabling the internal preamplifier. The down-converter is available in two form factors - USB and PXI Express with the SPI/RS-232 communication interface.
