The GNSSource-2500 from Safran is a low-cost, high-performance GPS/GNSS primary rubidium reference source with 8x 10MHz / 8x 1PPS or 16x 10 MHz output frequency options. It is designed for cross-industry applications, where high stability and timekeeping features are required. This unit integrates a smart, low-noise Rubidium LNRClok-1500 and a GPS/GNSS receiver. It uses the Orolia’s GPS/GNSS SmarTiming+® technology for disciplining the Rb LNRClok with an auto-adaptive loop time constant from 1,000 to 100,000 seconds, depending on the GPS/GNSS signal quality, with a 1ns resolution.
The GNSSource-2500 includes a standard RS232 interface (9600 b/s), integrated smart auto calibration and an internal bit alarm. It is available in a compact 1U rack-mountable chassis that measures 445 x 300 x 44 mm and is suitable for synchronization, timing, reference/test source and time/frequency source applications. The reference requires an AC supply voltage from 100 to 240 V (50-60 Hz) and consumes up to 1.5 A of current.
