The Valon 5019 frequency synthesizer can generate signals from 10 MHz to 19 GHz with very low phase noise. The synthesizer uses multiple phase lock loops to greatly reduced spurs while providing high resolution tuning precision. The output power of the signal can be set at 0.1 dB steps from -30 dBm to 13 dBm.
The synthesizer has an internal TCXO that provides ± 0.5 ppm stability over a temperature range from -20 °C to +70 °C. This internal reference can be also trimmed or calibrated using software commands. In addition to this, an external reference from 5 to 100 MHz can also be applied.
The 5019 can be controlled through a USB port using any terminal program or a graphical user interface. An additional interface port allows for a number of other communications protocols including Ethernet 10/100 and Serial TTL. The synthesizer also has a user port for LIST mode frequency selection as well as timing and synchronizing sweeps modes.
