The 501-35195 from Quantic Wenzel (Wenzel Associates, Inc.) is a Phase Lock Oscillator (PLO) with an input frequency of 10 MHz and an output frequency of 100 MHz. It uses Quantic Wenzel’s proprietary bootstrap oscillator technology that consists of two rugged OCXOs of the same frequency phase locked together. This PLO has special compensation techniques that minimize vibration-induced phase noise by mechanically aligning the two oscillators and summing a compensation voltage with the electrical tuning to the oscillators. It requires a DC supply of +12 V, consumes less than 10 W (for 5 minutes of warm-up), and less than 8 W (steady-state) of power.
The 501-35195 provides ultra-low phase noise performance and low-g sensitivity of better than 5e-11/g below 300 Hz offsets, and 5e-12/g sensitivity above 300 Hz when vibration isolation is included. It has a phase noise of less than -185 dBc/Hz (static with 100 kHz offset), spurious of better than -90 dBc, and harmonics of -30 dBc. This PLO has a vibration compensation system for best noise under vibration using Bootstrap technology and uses Polyurethane conformal coating for tin whisker mitigation and moisture resistance. It is available in a package that measures 5.53 x 3.70 x 1.18 inches with SMA (female) connectors and is ideal for airborne, radar systems, tactical radio, vehicular communication, and shipboard applications.
