The 8TR8211 from BeRex is a 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Smart Front-End RFIC. It has been designed for range extension of Bluetooth Smart/Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and other proprietary ISM wireless systems. This RFIC includes a power amplifier (PA), low noise amplifier (LNA), transmit/receive switch, input/output matching circuitry, and filter networks. In Tx mode, it delivers an output power of 13 dBm with a large signal gain of 11 dB and consumes less than 23 mA of current. In Rx mode, it provides a small signal gain of 13 dB, has a noise figure of 2.3 dB, and consumes 9 mA of current. The RFIC requires a DC supply from 2.7 V to 3.6 V and is optimized for battery operation with enhanced efficiency suited for battery-powered wireless systems.
The 8TR8211 is available in a surface-mount QFN-16 package that measures 2.00 x 2.00 x 0.45 mm and is ideal for use in range extenders, proximity sensors, beacons, Bluetooth Audio, wireless sensor nodes, M2M connectivity, BLE devices, consumer electronics, and IoT applications. It is rated for moisture sensitivity level 1 (MSL1) and solder reflow (at 260°C) according to JEDEC J-STD-020 standards.
