The WLAN7202C from NXP Semiconductors is a Wi-Fi 6E Front-End IC that operates from 5.15 to 7.125 GHz. It includes a power amplifier with a logarithmic power detector, a low noise amplifier (LNA), and a single pole double throw (SPDT) switch. The IC also includes coexistence filters for both transmit and receive channels. It is matched to 50 ohms and integrates harmonics and out-of-band filtering, which minimizes the layout area in the application. This IC provides high power efficiency and high linearity but can also operate at low power levels. It requires no external matching components and has DC-free RF ports except for the antenna port.
The WLAN7202C is available in a HWFLGA16 package that measures 2 x 2 mm with ESD protection on all pins. It is suitable for use in Wi-Fi 6E applications in smartphones, tablets, netbooks, portable computing devices, and module applications for embedded systems.
