The WLAN7205C from NXP Semiconductors is a Wi-Fi® 6E front-end IC that operates from 5.150 to 7.125 GHz. It consists of a power amplifier with a directional coupler, a low noise amplifier (LNA), and a single pole double throw (SPDT) switch. The IC also includes coexistence filters for both transmit and receive channels. It has 5 Tx operation modes per band, enabling flexibility for power efficiency adaptation, and 2 Rx operation modes enabling gain step between the LNA mode and Bypass mode. The IC is matched to 50 ohms and integrates harmonics and out of band filtering which minimizes the layout area in the application. It is available in a 2 x2 mm QFN package with ESD protection on all pins. This Wi-Fi 6E FEM is ideal for use in smartphones, tablets, netbooks, and other portable computing devices and module applications for embedded systems.
