The WLAN8101C from NXP is a 5 GHz 2 x 2 MIMO Front End Module that supports WLAN IEEE802.11a/n/ac/ax and Wi-Fi 6. It includes two monolithic front-end ICs. Each IC has an integrated WLAN amplifier, an integrated Bluetooth amplifier, a low noise amplifier with bypass functionality, directional couplers, and an SPDT switch. The module also includes coexistence filters for both transmit and receive channels. The device is matched to 50 Ω and integrates harmonics and out of band filtering which minimizes the layout area in the application.
The WLAN8101C is available in a 3 x 4 mm package and is suitable for applications in WLAN, Wi-Fi 6, smartphones, tablets, netbooks, and other portable computing devices. It is also suitable for embedded system applications.
