The QM55011 from Qorvo is an RF Front-End (RFFE) Module for NB-IoT and Cat-M1/2 applications. It supports low-band (663 to 915 MHz) and mid-band (1695 to 2010 MHz) frequencies. This cellular IoT module includes an integrated harmonic rejection filter, an SP6T Tx/Rx antenna switch, and an SEM. It also features universal multi-band bolt-on power amplifiers with an adaptive biasing scheme for maximum PA efficiency. This FEM’s band-select and bias features are programmed through a mobile industry processor interface (MIPI). It requires a DC supply of 2.5 V and has low power consumption which extends battery life for applications where chargers and main power are unavailable. This FEM enables a broader range of battery options and eliminates the size and cost associated with boost converters.
The QM55011 is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3.0 x 3.0 x 0.6 mm and is ideal for use in C-IoT front ends, wearables, asset tracking, and metering applications. It is also capable of supporting air standards such as non-terrestrial networks (NTN) and Wireless Smart Utility Networks (Wi-SUN).
