The QPB9380 from Qorvo is a Dual Channel Switch-LNA Front End Module that operates from 2.3 to 5 GHz. It has been developed for 5G TDD base stations. The FEM integrates a two-stage LNA and switches in a dual-channel configuration (the second stage LNA has an integrated bypass mode). In Rx mode, it has a noise figure of 1 dB and an insertion loss of 0.5 dB. The LNAs utilize Qorvo’s high-performance advanced process, and the switch can handle an input power of up to 20 W. The power down and bypass capability for the LNAs can be controlled with control pins on the module. It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 115 mA of current. The module is available in a surface-mount LGA package that measures 6 x 6 mm and is ideal for 5G m-MIMO, 5G TDD base stations, wireless infrastructure, small cell BTS, and 5G radio applications.
