The QPF4259 from Qorvo is a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 7 Front End Module. It has an integrated 2.4 GHz power amplifier (PA), single pole two throw switch (SP2T) and bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA). The FEM has a coupler with RF output as well as a broad range, constant slope voltage RF and DC logarithmic power detector for application feedback. It has integrated die-level filtering for 2nd and 3rd harmonics as well as 5 GHz rejection for DBDC operation.
In the Tx chain, it delivers an output power of +27 dBm with a gain of 30 dB while in the Rx chain, this module provides a gain of 16 dB with a noise figure of 1.7 dB and bypass loss of 6.5 dB. This module provides out-of-band rejection of 20 dB (5-7 GHz) on the Rx path. The QPF4259 requires a DC supply of +5 V and reduces power consumption while maintaining exceptional linear output power and throughput. It is available in a 16-pad laminate package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) systems, access points, wireless routers, residential gateways, customer premise equipment and Internet of Things applications.
