The QPF4526 from Qorvo is a Front-End Module that operates from 5150 to 5850 MHz and is designed for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) systems. It integrates a 5 GHz power amplifier (PA), single pole two throw (SPDT) switch, and a bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA) into a compact form factor to minimize layout area on boards. The device optimizes power amplification for a 5 V supply voltage by conserving power and maintaining a linear output power with optimal throughput. It provides a transmit gain of 33 dB, a receive gain of 14.5 dB, and has a noise figure of less than 1.9 dB.
The QPF4526 has integrated die level filtering for second and third harmonics, as well as provides a 25 dB rejection at 2.4 GHz on the receive path. It has a broad-range, constant slope voltage logarithmic power detector that could provide application feedback. This FEM is suitable for application in access points, wireless routers, residential gateways, customer premise equipment (CPE), and IoT platforms.
