The QPF4656 from Qorvo is a 6 GHz Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax) Front-End Module that operates from 5945 to 7125 MHz. It has an integrated optimized 5.9 - 7.1 GHz power amplifier (PA), single pole two throw switch (SP2T), and bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA). This FEM also integrates a broadband logarithmic voltage detector for application feedback. The PA is optimized to conserve power consumption while maintaining the highest linear output power and leading-edge throughput. The module has integrated die level filtering for 2nd and 3rd harmonics as well as 2.4 GHz rejection for DBDC operation.
In Tx mode, it provides a gain of 32 dB while in Rx mode, it provides a gain of 14.5 dB with a noise figure of 2 dB. It provides 2.4 GHz band rejection of 25 dB. The QPF4656 is available in a laminated surface-mount package that measures 3 x 3 mm and requires a DC supply of 5 V. It is ideal for use in access points, wireless routers, residential gateways, customer premise equipment, and Internet of Things applications.
