The QXM108x from Qualcomm are 2.4/5/6 GHz Wi-Fi Front-End Modules. They comprise small-sized RF Front Ends (RFFEs) with integrated active and passive components for use in Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 7 applications. These modules consist of a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), a switch, and a directional coupler. They are designed to enable OEMs to quickly develop and launch powerful Wi-Fi solutions at scale with 5G NR and Bluetooth concurrency. These Wi-Fi modules support Wi-Fi 7 standard with 4K QAM modulation over a channel bandwidth of 320 MHz, providing improved data rate and spectral efficiency.
The RFFEs’ integrated amplifiers support several high linearities and high efficiency, high gain, high efficiency, and bypass modes. They ensure low insertion loss with integrated switches and precise transmit power control with integrated directional couplers. The QXM108x FEMs are available in Land Grid Array (LGA) packages with internally matched 50-ohm RF ports and offer electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection on all the pins.
