The SKY65337-11 from Skyworks Solutions is a 2.4 GHz Tx/Rx Front-End Module that is designed for Zigbee, IEEE 802.15.4 and ISM band applications. It has a high-efficiency transmit path and a low-loss bidirectional path. The transmit path of this module consists of a harmonic filter and high efficiency power amplifier (PA) with an internal balun to allow use of differential input signals. The bidirectional path contains a high isolation transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) switch and balun for low-noise differential output. The differential output receiver port is bidirectional and can be used to operate the module in a low-power transmit mode. The bidirectional path can be used to directly connect the antenna port to a directional RF port. The FEM delivers a programmable Tx power from 10.5 to 20.1 dBm with a gain of more than 7 dB.
The SKY65337-11 requires a DC supply of 3 V and consumes under 145 mA of current in Tx mode. It is available in a 28-pin SMT packaged MCM that measures 8 x 8 mm.
