The SKY66408-21 from Skyworks Solutions is an RF Front-End Module (FEM) that operates from 2400 to 2500 MHz. It has been designed for use in Zigbee, Thread, and Bluetooth signal (including Low Energy) applications. This module consists of a power amplifier, low noise amplifier, switches, power circuitry, GPIO, and I2C interfaces. The integrated power amplifier delivers an output power of +21 dBm and can be remotely programmed via an I2C interface in 0.7 dB steps. It has integrated inter-stage matching, a harmonic filter, and digital controls that are compatible with CMOS levels. The FEM requires a DC supply from 1.2 to 3.6 V and consumes less than 3 µA of current (sleep mode).
The SKY66408-21 has integrated antenna diversity switching for all modes and a bypass path with a single-ended transmit/receive interface. This RoHS-compliant module is available in a 24-pin multi-chip module (MCM) package that measures 3.0 x 3.0 mm and is ideal for in-home appliances, smart thermostats, IoT devices, smart lighting, sensors, range extenders, and wireless audio applications.
