The SKY85772-11 from Skyworks is a 5 GHz front-end module (FEM) which incorporates a 5 GHz transmit/receive switch, a 5 GHz low-noise amplifier with bypass, and a 5 GHz power amplifier. It has an integrated power detector to provide closed-loop power control within the system. This 1024 QAM WLAN Front-End Module provides a transmit gain of 32 dB and a receive gain of 15 dB.
The module’s logarithmic power detector allows for a wide dynamic power range and its harmonics are FCC compliant, reducing filtering requirements. The device is available in a compact, 16-pin, 3 x 3 x 0.55 mm Quad Flat No-Lead (QFN) package and is ideal for 802.11ax networking and personal computing systems, PC cards, PCMCIA cards, mini-cards, half mini-cards, and WLAN-enabled wireless video system applications.
