The EQY-6-283+ from Mini-Circuits is a Gain Equalizer that operates from DC to 28 GHz. This absorptive gain equalizer is fabricated using a highly repetitive GaAs IPD MMIC process that incorporates resistors, capacitors, and inductors having negative insertion loss slope. It has a nominal attenuation slope 6 dB and can handle an input power of up to 30 dBm. This gain equalizer is available in a 6-lead MCLP package that measures 2 x 2 mm. It is useful for compensating the negative gain slope of amplifiers, receivers, transmitters to achieve flat gain versus frequency. The equalizer can be used in cellular infrastructure, 5G, wideband communications, test instrumentation, and defense applications.
