STA8089G Image

The STA8089G from STMicroelectronics is a GNSS receiver SoC that supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou and QZSS bands. It has a hot start of less than 1 s and a cold start of 30 s. This receiver has a tracking sensitivity of -162 dBm and can be controlled via UART, I2C, CAN, ADC, GPIO and USB 2.0 interfaces.

The STA8089G is based on an ARM96 MCU and has an embedded RF Front-end, a low noise amplifier, Real Time Clock (RTC) circuit and an external SQI Flash interface. It can perform all GNSS operations including tracking, acquisition, navigation and data output. This receiver can track signals from multiple satellites simultaneously regardless of their constellation, making this chip capable of delivering exceptional accuracy in urban areas. It is available in a VFQFPN56 package that measures 7 x 7 x 1 mm and is ideal for positioning system applications.
