The HC860 from Tallysman is a dual-purpose GNSS + Active Iridium Helical Antenna that is designed for high precision positioning applications. It supports GPS, QZSS, GLONASS, IRNSS/NavIC and Beidou constellations including SBAS like WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS or GAGAN. The antenna also supports active iridium reception in the 1616 to 1626.5 MHz band.
The antenna has an integrated LNA that provides a gain of 35 dB with a noise figure of less than 1.7 and a P1dB of 10 dBm. It has VSWR of less than 2:1. The amplifier has an integrated pre-filter to prevent harmonic interference from high-amplitude signals, such as 700 MHz band LTE and other nearby in-band cellular signals. It requires a DC supply of 2.5-12 V and consumes under 21 mA of current.
The antenna has a 15 kV air discharge ESD circuit protection and a precision-tuned helix element that provides excellent axial ratios and operates without the requirement of a ground plane. It is available in a robust military-grade, IP67-rated plastic enclosure that measures 44.2 (D) x 62.4 (H) mm with SMA-Male connectors. The antenna is suitable for RTK and precise point positioning (PPP) surveying systems. It is ideal for Iridium data applications, autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), precision GNSS positioning, precision land survey positioning, mission-critical GNSS timing, network timing and synchronization, sea and land container tracking, fleet management and asset tracking, marine and avionics systems & law enforcement and public safety applications.
