The VSS6037L from Tallysman is a GNSS Precision Antenna with L-band Correction Sevices that operates from 1160 to 1300 MHz (Lower Band), 1539 to 1559 MHz (L-band corrections services), and 1559 to 1606 MHz (Upper Band). The patent-pending VSS6037L antenna employs Tallysman’s unique VeroStar™ technology, providing a high gain of more than 37 dB over the full GNSS spectrum: GPS/QZSS-L1/L2/L5/L6, GLONASS-G1/G2/G3, Galileo-E1/E5a/E5b/E6b, BeiDou-B1/B2/B2a/B3, and NavIC-L5, including the satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) available in the region of operation [WAAS (North America), EGNOS (Europe), MSAS (Japan), or GAGAN (India)], as well as L-band correction services.
The antenna incorporates a low noise amplifier (LNA) with an integrated low-loss pre-filter to protect against harmonic interference from high amplitude interfering signals, such as the 700 MHz band LTE and other near in-band cellular signals, while still providing a noise figure of only 1.8 dB. It requires a DC supply voltage from 3 to 16 V and consumes 50 mA of current.
With an exceptionally low roll-off from zenith to the horizon, the VeroStar™ antenna provides the best-in-class tracking of GNSS and L-band correction signals from low elevation angles. The antenna shows an optimized axial ratio of less than 1 dB at all elevation angles which results in excellent multipath rejection, thus enabling accurate and precise code and phase tracking.
This IP67, REACH, and RoHS-compliant GNSS antenna is available in a light and compact package that measures 146.7 mm (dia) x 43.9 mm (h) with a TNC (F) connector and can be directly mounted on a surface via screws. A wide-band spherical antenna element enables the VeroStar™ to deliver a ±2 mm phase center variation (PCV), making it ideal for high-precision applications, such as autonomous vehicle navigation (land, sea, and air), machine control, RTK/PPP systems, and precision agriculture.
