The NavGuide from BAE Systems is a Handheld GPS Receiver that has been built for vehiclular, handheld, and sensors operating in mission-critical environments. It is a portable and versatile solution that provides users with a moving map, situational awareness capabilities, and waypoint navigation, all while meeting environmental requirements and providing M-code enhanced jamming and spoofing protection. This M-code receiver is field-installable and can be quickly integrated into existing DAGR receiver mounts and accessories, ensuring no interruption during mission operation. It requires a DC supply from 9 to 32 V.
The NavGuide receiver takes only 30 seconds to install and has an intuitive military GUI that is compatible with existing FRPA and other anti-jam electronic units via peripheral interfaces. It consists of three independent serial data ports that support BAE Systems’ DAGR messages for maximum flexibility while allowing for a secure DAGR USB transfer of mission data. This GPS receiver has an M-code GPS engine that offers extended performance in threat environments for increased mission effectiveness. It operates in encrypted M-code and Y-code modes and supports next-generation security architecture with robust jamming and Blue Force Electronic Attack (EFEA) mitigation.
The GPS receiver has a timing accuracy of 100 ns, position accuracy of up to 5 m, and a velocity accuracy of 0.3 m/s (steady-rate). It has a built-in GPS antenna that transmits and receives signals in the L1 and L2 bands. This receiver is available in an enclosure that measures 1.48 x 2.60 inches.
