The MAX-M10S from u-blox is an L1-Band GNSS Receiver that is designed for battery-powered asset tracking devices. It supports concurrent reception of four GNSS constellations - GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou and provides exceptional sensitivity and acquisition time. The receiver has a TTFF cold start of less than 24 s and a TTFF hot start under 1 s. It has a tracking sensitivity of -167 dBm and a reacquisition sensitivity of -161 dBm. This GNSS receiver has an integrated LNA and oscillator (TCXO) followed by a SAW filter in the RF path for maximum sensitivity. It requires a DC supply from 2.7 to 3.6 V and consumes less than 25 mW of power in continuous tracking mode that allows great power autonomy for all battery-operated devices.
The MAX-M10S is based on u-blox’s Super-S technology that offers great RF sensitivity and can improve the dynamic position accuracy by up to 25% with small antennas or in a non-line-of-sight scenario. It has an advanced filtering algorithm that mitigates the impact of RF interference and jamming and reports them to the host so that the system can react to such events. The receiver supports UART, SPI, DDC interfaces and offers pin-to-pin compatibility with previous u-blox modules. It is available in an 18-pin LCC package that measures 9.7 x 10.1 x 2.5 mm.
