The R&S®SMBV100B from Rohde & Schwarz is a Vector Signal Generator with a frequency range from 8 kHz to 6 GHz. It has an excellent EVM performance even at high output power levels and achieves an EVM value of less than 0.4 % for an LTE signal with +18 dBm (RMS) output power. This signal generator can produce an output power of up to +34 dBm (1 GHz) and up to +31 dBm (6 GHz). It has an internal baseband that allows users to generate signals for all major digital communications standards without requiring external signal generation software. This signal generator also includes several GNSS options that allow this generator to function as a full-featured GNSS simulator. Advanced simulation capabilities can run realistic, complex, yet repeatable GNSS scenarios under controlled conditions.

The R&S®SMBV100B has a clearly structured graphical user interface with a high-resolution 7" touchscreen for efficient, intuitive operation. It helps users quickly and correctly create remote control programs and the built-in SCPI macro recorder with code generator can automatically record all manual settings and create an executable MATLAB® script. This signal generator is available in a rack-mount enclosure and it is customizable via software keycodes, making it easy to enhance the instrument with additional functionality.
