The 50PA-1089 from JFW Industries is a 4 x 4 Handover Test System that operates from 698 to 3000 MHz. Handover test systems are used to assess the performance of interconnected wireless devices under real-world operating conditions in a lab environment.
Device manufacturers and network engineers can use handover test systems and their various signal attenuation mechanisms to simulate the complex effects of variables like distance and interference. This helps to improve the robustness of their network and optimize the performance of their RF equipment.
Every RF path through the 4 x 4 matrix has its own individually controlled programmable attenuator that provides an attenuation from 0 to 127 dB with a step size of 1 dB. It has power dividers/combiners on both halves which create full fan-out functionality so that no input port is blocked for any output port. The system offers a switching speed of up to 4 µs with a processing time of 3 ms. It can handle an average input power of 1 W and has a VSWR of less than 1.6:1.
The 50PA-1089 provides manual control with a keypad and LCD display and can be remotely controlled using Ethernet and RS-232 interfaces. It is available in a 19” rack mount, 3U high enclosure with N/SMA-type female connectors.
The handover test system requires an AC supply of 100-240 V at 47-63 Hz.
