The BUDC2G14G from Lotus Communication System is a Software-defined Block Up/Down Converter that can be used for up-conversion and down-conversion. It has an IF frequency from 500 MHz to 6 GHz and an RF frequency from 2 to 14 GHz. The converter has an integrated low phase noise LO that operates from 1 to 12 GHz. It has a conversion loss of 8 dB at 5.8 GHz with LO-RF leakage of less than 30 dBm. The unit requires a DC supply of 5-6 V and draws up to 235 mA of current. It is available in a module that measures 2.8125 x 1.3125 x 0.48 inches and supports a USB-C interface. The converter is ideal for test instrumentation, satellite block up/down conversion, spectrum analyzer frequency extension, C, X and Ku Band radar, and wireless and optical communication applications.
