The PMP 450i from Cambium Networks is a Backhaul Link that operates from 3300 to 3900 MHz / 4900 to 5925 MHz. It can allow up to 238 subscribers per sector with channel widths of 5/10/20 MHz. The radio supports 2x2 OFDM MIMO with up to 300 Mbps per sector in a 40 MHz channel. It can provide an adaptive modulation level of up to 8 times with an SNR ratio of up to 32 dB. It has a dynamic transmit power range of 40 dB with 1 dB step size. The link can facilitate a transmit gain of 16 dBi with its integrated 90-degree sector antenna or with an external one.
The PMP 450i has tripled its processing power compared to its predecessor with updated FPGA and SoC architecture to provide a typical latency of 3-5 ms. It can be GPS synchronized using Autosync and provides a deployment range of 64 km. The backhaul link requires a DC supply voltage of 48-59 V and consumes under 55 W of power. It is available in a wall/pole mount metal enclosure that measures 10.3 x 5.3 x 3.3 inches with N-type antenna connector or in an integrated antenna module that measures 14.5 x 14.5 x 3.2 inches. The link has its own proprietary Cambium Networks MAC interface and also supports ethernet, VLAN & other network management protocols. It has a rugged design and is suitable for industrial-grade wireless broadband applications.
