The 5 GHz PMP 450m from Cambium Networks is a point-to-multipoint mm-Wave Radio that operates from 5150 to 5925 MHz. It is capable of providing a throughput of over 550 Mbps when using a 20 MHz channel, and more than 1.2 Gbps per sector when using a 40 MHz channel. This device supports Massive MU-MIMO technology with adaptive beamforming capabilities, which enhances sector capacity by combining a smart beamforming antenna array with multiple RF transmit and receive chains, effectively multiplying available capacity by more than three times.
The radio is fully certified to the FCC's CBRS Part 96 rules in addition to the existing Part 90 rules in place. A firmware upgrade to open up the full 150 MHz of CBRS will be published immediately upon the FCC's release. The 5 GHz PMP 450m is available in a module that measures 52 x 65 x 11 cm and has a deployment range of up to 40 miles.
