The cnWave V1000 from Cambium Networks is a Backhaul Radio that operates from 57 to 66 GHz. It provides easy, fast, and cost-effective wireless gigabit connectivity for edge access and/or high-capacity backhaul for edge access solutions at a significantly lower TCO than fiber infrastructure. The radio is certified for Facebook Terragraph and is highly efficient at handling high-density deployments in cities and suburban areas. It supports a data rate of up to 2 Gbps with 1 Gbps in the uplink direction and 1 Gbps in the downlink direction. The radio supports auto-beamforming with a horizontal beamwidth of up to 80° and a vertical beamwidth of up to 40°.
The cnWave V1000 supports TDMA/TDD channel access and BPSK/16-QAM modulation & coding schemes. It has an EIRP of up to 38 dBm and a latency of less than 1 ms. The radio uses Cambium Networks’ cnMaestro management system, which is a cloud-based or on-premise software platform for secure, end-to-end network control. cnMaestro wireless network manager allows to view and perform a full suite of wireless network management functions in real-time. This radio is powered by 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and consumes 10 W of power. It is available in an IP66/67 rated enclosure that measures 169 x 100 x 54 mm and is suitable for use in business and residential connectivity, backhaul for Wi-Fi access, or LTE/5G small cell applications.
