The B5x from Mimosa is a Point-to-Point (PtP) Backhaul Radio that operates from 4.9 to 6.4 GHz. It delivers a UL/DL data rate of up to 1.5 Gbps and has an aggregate channel capacity of 160 MHz. The radio supports OFDM modulation with 4x4 MIMO and enables 2 independent dual-stream radios operating on non-contiguous frequencies with automatic load balancing of traffic across 4 total MIMO streams with individual stream encoding up to 256 QAM. It provides an output power of up to 30 dBm in single frequency mode and up to 27 dBm in dual frequency mode. The radio is suitable for short to medium range relay and tower links, custom-engineered collocation, and licensed 4.9 GHz spectrum applications.
The B5x supports Fixed TDMA and TDMA-FD (Frequency Diversity) with 75:25, 67:33, or 50:50 traffic ratios with 2, 4, or 8 ms timeslots along with Auto-TDMA wireless protocols. It is a spectrum friendly radio with unique, high-precision GPS Sync technology that reuses the same channel network wide. The radio also allows assessing link health and identifying potential problems with ease using the Mimosa management platform.
This Backhaul radio requires a DC supply of 48 V with support for 802.3at (PoE+) active or passive compliant power injectors and consumes less than 20 W of power. It has a carrier-grade IP67 design that allows it to withstand the harsh environmental conditions. The radio measures 241 (H) x 139 (W) x 76 (Depth) mm and requires 2 standard pole straps for mounting.
The B5x has the FCC Part 15.407, IC RSS210, CE and ETSI 301 893/302 50 regulatory approvals.
