The Edge 1025 from Proxim is a Backhaul Radio that operates from 5.150 to 5.925 GHz. It has an integrated dual-polarity antenna that provides a gain of 15 dBi. This radio supports the OFDM/BPSK-QAM256 modulation technique with channel sizes of 20 MHz and 40 MHz (license upgrade to 80 MHz). It delivers a throughput of 380 Mbps in the 4x4 MIMO mode (requires an external antenna). The radio delivers a Tx power of up to 27 dBm and has an Rx sensitivity of -89 dBm. It can be controlled via an auto MDI-X RJ45 Ethernet interface that has a data rate of 10/100/1000 Mbps with support for PoE (802.3af/at compliant). The radio is suitable for Point to Point endpoints, Multipoint CPE, or MultiPoint Base Station applications.
The Edge 1025 is powered by Proxim’s WORP® (Wireless Outdoor Router Protocol) to enable efficient wireless broadband access possible in a packet-based network. WORP® provides Advanced QoS controls, committed interface rates, latency controls, IGMP snooping, and native multicast support for exceptional granular service level management and video performance. This radio is available in an IP67 metal enclosure that measures 170 x 217 x 56 mm and includes external connectors for extended range and MIMO 4x4 configuration options.
