The PTL-50 from Cellencor is a Solid-State Microwave Generator that operates from 902 to 928 MHz (optional 896 MHz variant available). It delivers a CW output power of up to 50 kW and provides a phase adjustment from 0 to 360° with a resolution of 1.4°. This generator utilizes a distributed high-speed multi-processor architecture and offers versatile frequency sweeping modes such as fixed, single frequency, band sweep, and optimized frequency hopping. It integrates RF LDMOS transistors and isolators and is designed to ensure a long operational life.
The PTL-50 uses a Windows-based interactive control software and USB 2.0/Ethernet interface allowing the user to remotely control the frequency and power of the signal while also providing local adjustment of parameters. It supports real-time display of forward/reflected power values and enables the user to point-and-click power and frequency across the band. This generator supports automatic generation of optimal band map for frequency sweeping and allows the map to be edited, saved, and loaded to a remote PC for further analysis.
The generator requires a 3-phase AC supply of 360-528 V. It is available in an enclosure that measures 52 x 52 x 60 inches with WR-975 waveguide interface and includes low-level RF input and output connectors that permit multiple generators to be phase-locked.
