The RIK2520K-40TG from RFHIC is a SSPA GaN Microwave Generator that operates from 2400 to 2500 MHz. This microwave generator has been designed for industrial microwave drying, heating, and plasma generating applications. It delivers a CW output power of 20 kW with a system efficiency of 55%. This generator has a frequency resolution of 100 kHz and allows phase adjustment from 0 to 360°. It uses GaN on SiC HEMT technology for superior performance and high efficiency. The generator can be used for CW, pulse, and linear applications. It has been developed to replace industrial magnetrons and other vacuum tubes currently powering industrial heating, drying, microwave CVD and sintering. This microwave generator features control circuits for generator ON/OFF, RF mode and RF control and alarm and shutdown circuits for temperature, VSWR, DC fail, low gain, and overpower conditions.
The RIK2520K-40TG is equipped with eight solid state power amplifier (SSPA) shelves, a 400 VAC power supply unit (PSU), a main control unit (MCU), and a WR430 waveguide output port. It is embedded with RFHIC’s precise control software suite allowing users to control and monitor the system’s power, RF mode (CW/pulse), and phase all digitally. To protect the device from reflected power, the RIK2520K-40TG is pre-equipped with high-grade isolators (circulators, terms) preventing system failure. In case a higher reflected power is monitored the system will automatically shut down. The RIK2520K-40TG measures 600 x 1800 x 750 mm and is water-cooled.
