The ARMA-S2500A Series from Advantech Wireless are Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) that operate in the S-band from 1.7 – 1.90 GHz or 1.86 – 2.1 GHz. They have a modular architecture that consists of multiple amplifier modules that are field-swapable based on the application requirements. Each power amplifier can individually deliver an output power of 500 W. The amplifier system as a whole deliver a saturated output power of 2500 W with a small signal gain of up to 63 dB.
Each amplifier module has an integrated microcontroller to indicate timing parameters and provide an interface. They can be remotely monitored and controlled via RS485 or Ethernet ports, and also include sample monitoring ports for additional status reports. These amplifiers support a power factor correction scheme to ensure maximum output power delivery to the load and minimal operating cost. They require a single-phase AC supply of 220 V or a 3-phase AC supply of 415/240 V.
These amplifiers are available in rack-mount enclosures that measure 48.26 x 228.6 x 106.6 cm with N-type (female) connector and CPR 430G/EIA 1 5/8 inches interface. They have built-in protection circuitries to prevent open and short-circuit loads.
