The SSPA 20.0-24.0-40 from Aethercomm is a high power, GaN solid state power amplifier that operates from 20 to 24 GHz. It provides 40 watts of saturated power with a gain of over 46 dB while operating from a 28 Vdc power supply. The SSPA can be turned on and turned off in less than 10 uSec. This broadband SSPA is available in a module (4 x 5 x 2 inches) with SMA female connector as the input interface and WR-42 waveguide as the output interface. The rugged housing is optimized for high shock and vibration environments. DC and logic connections are accessible via feedthrough pins. Other standard features include reverse polarity protection, output short and open circuit protection, and over-temperature shut down. This power amplifier module can operate at a temperature from -40°C to +70°C.
