The S1412 Series from AMETEK CTS is a Solid-State Pulsed Amplifiers Series consisting of 4 amplifiers that operate from 1.2 to 1.4 GHz. They provide an output power of 0.5/1 /2 /4 kW with a gain of more than 63 dB and have a standard duty cycle of 10%. The amplifiers have a pulse width range from 100 nsec to 100 usec, a rise/fall time of less than 25 ns, and spurious levels of -50 dBc. This SSPA Series supports AM, FM, and Pulsed modulation formats.
The S1412 Series have integrated RF and hardware protection systems including high VSWR, over-current, and voltage protection as well as redundant thermal and airflow sensors to prevent the SSPA from overheating. They also have an intuitive interface that is sophisticated, comprehensive, and simple to use. The color interface displays forward/reverse power indication, system status and self-diagnostic information.
All the SSPA operating parameters are simultaneously available via the interface as well as over the remote bus. For remote operation GPIB, RS232, USB & Ethernet remote interfaces are included as standard. The amplifiers have BNC Female for pulse input with N-Type Female input and Type N or 7/16 Female output connectors. They are available in 19 inches, 680 mm deep rugged modular enclosure and are ideal for multiple high frequencies, high power applications including but not limited to RF immunity testing.
