The ADL9005 from Analog Devices is a Low Noise Amplifier MMIC that operates from 0.01 to 26.5 GHz. It provides a gain of 17.5 dB with a noise figure of less than 4 dB and a saturated output power of up to 16 dBm. The amplifier is based on GaAs pHEMT technology and requires a supply voltage of 5 V while consuming 80 mA of current. It is available in a lead frame chip-scale package (LFSCP) that measures 4.00 x 4.00 x 0.75 mm and is ideal for SMT-based, high capacity microwave radio applications. This amplifier can also be used as a local oscillator (LO) driver for Analog Devices’ balanced, in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) or image rejection mixers.
