The ADPA7008 from Analog Devices is an MMIC Power Amplifier that operates from 20 to 54 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 31 dBm (1 W) with a gain of 18 dB. The MMIC amplifier uses a GaAs-based pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) transistor and has an integrated temperature-compensated on-chip power detector. It requires a DC supply voltage of 5 V and consumes 1500 mA of current. The ADPA7008 is available in a ceramic leadless package that measures 7.20 x 7.20 x 1.44. The RF input and outputs are internally matched and DC blocked for ease of integration into higher-level assemblies. It is ideal for linear applications such as electronic countermeasure in aerospace & defense, communication systems, and for test instrumentation.
