The HMC1099 from Analog Devices (Hittite) is a GaN broadband power amplifier that operates from 0.01 GHz to 1.1 GHz. It provides saturated power (Psat) of 40.5 dBm, PAE of 69 % and a small signal gain of 18.5 dB. The amplifier requires a 28 V power supply and draws 100 mA of current. It is matched to 50 Ohms at the input and output and is available in a compact 32-lead, LFCSP package, and measuring 5 x 5 mm. The amplifier is ideal for pulsed or continuous wave (CW) applications, such as wireless infrastructure, radars, public mobile radios, and general-purpose amplification.
