The AR-5030 from AR Modular RF is a Class A/B Amplifier that operates from 700 to 960 MHz. It delivers an output power from 25 to 80 W (CW) with a gain of more than 5 dB and provides Automatic Level Control (ALC). The amplifier is designed for constant-envelope modulation with ALC to maintain a constant output power for varying input levels. It has a noise figure of less than 25 dB and a VSWR of under 3:1. The amplifier features various protection features like input overdrive protection, output VSWR protection and over temperature protection.
The AR-5030 has interface and control elements distributed on both the front & rear panels. It is fully operational using the front-panel interface that has a status LED, push button, and a display screen. The amplifier can be optionally controlled via its rear-panel interfaces that include ethernet, remote control / monitor and remote interlock. It features an automatic bypass mode to switch to full-bypass in case the unit is not powered or in the event of a detected system failure. The amplifier is available in a rack mount enclosure that measures 19.0 x 20.8 x 3.5 inches with N-type Female connectors and is designed to meet military standards for use in digital modulation equipment.
