The 1000S1G2z5B from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a Solid-state, Self-contained, Air-cooled, Broadband Amplifier system that operates from 1 to 2.5 GHz. This amplifier when used with a sweep generator, provides over 1000 W of RF power with a gain of over 60 dB. It is protected from RF input overdrive by an input leveling circuit which controls the RF input level to the amplifier first stage when the input level is increased above 0 dBm. The RF amplifier stages are protected from over-temperature by removing the DC voltage to them if an over-temperature condition occurs due to cooling blockage or fan failure. It is equipped with a Digital Control Panel (DCP) which provides both local and remote control of the amplifier.
All amplifier control functions and status indications can also be viewed/controlled remotely using the GPIB/IEEE-488 format, RS-232, fiber optics, USB, and Ethernet.
This CE and RoHS-compliant amplifier system measures 22.1 x 38.5 x 32.5 Inches with an N- type female connector at the input and a 7/8 EIA female connector at the output. It has been designed for applications where instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and linearity are required.
