The 250S1G6C from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 1 to 6 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 250 W with small-signal gain of 61 dB. The amplifier has a Class A design, making it suitable for EMC test applications where continued operation into high VSWR loads including open and short circuits is required. It has spurious levels of -73 dBc and harmonics of less than -18 dB. The low level of spurious signals and linearity make it ideal for use as a driver in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems. It is suitable for 5G testing applications.
The 250S1G6C provides protection from input overdrive beyond 0 dBm along with protection from various failure conditions including over-temperature and power supply faults. It has a front panel display that indicates operational status and fault conditions. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely using GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232, fiber-optic serial, USB, or Ethernet interfaces. It is available in an air-cooled enclosure that measures 50.3 x 47.0 x 65.3 cm (with cabinet) with N-type (female) input and 7-16 DIN (female) output connectors. The SSPA requires an AC supply from 200 to 240 V and consumes under 1750 W of power.
The amplifier has a 3A001 export classification and the commodities, technology, and software are controlled for export in accordance with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
