The 500A250D from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a solid-state broadband amplifier that operates from 10 kHz to 250 MHz. It is designed for high gain and linearity applications and provides 600 W CW output power with a gain of more than 57 dB (1.5dB flatness) and P1dB of more than 425 W.
The amplifier has a front panel gain control which permits the operator to conveniently set the desired output level. This amplifier is protected from RF input overdrive by an input leveling circuit which controls the RF input level to the RF amplifier first stage when the input level is increased above 0dBm. It is equipped with a Digital Control Panel which provides both local and remote control of the amplifier. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely through the included Remotes Package. The Remotes Package includes GPIB/IEEE-488 format, RS-232 hardwire and fiber optic, USB, and Ethernet.
The 500A250D is available in a contemporary cabinet for benchtop use or with the cabinet removed for rack mounting. It has Type-N female input and output connectors and measures 50.3 x 38.1 x 75.5 cm with the cabinet and 48.3 x 35.6 x 75.5 cm without the cabinet. The system comes standard to operate from 200-240 VAC 50/60Hz AC source.
