The Model 500S1G6C from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 1 to 6 GHz. It delivers more than 500 W of output power with a small signal gain of 64 dB. This Class-A SSPA provides protection from input overdrive beyond 0 dBm as well as protection from various failure conditions including over-temperature and power supply faults. It has spurious emissions of -73 dBc and harmonic distortion of -30 dBc (@400 W). The low level of spurious signals and linearity make it ideal for use as a driver in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems.
The Model 500S1G6C has a front panel display that indicates the operational status and fault conditions. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely using GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232, fiber-optic serial, USB, or Ethernet. It is available in a 26U rack that measures 57.3 x 136.0 x 67.1 cm with N-type (female) and 7-16 DIN (female) connectors and requires an AC supply. This SSPA is ideal for use in 5G testing applications and is also suitable for EMC Test applications where continued operation into high VSWR loads including open and short circuits is required. The export classification for this equipment is 3A001.
